As an interested party, your input is needed and you are encouraged to participate in shaping the future of SBP and its standards.
Our multi-stakeholder governance system brings balance to the Standards Development Process’ key decision-making body, the Standards Committee. Our Technical Committee combines expertise in forestry and certification with that at the practitioner level. And membership of our Stakeholder Advisory Group is open to all interested parties.
We will also seek balance in our Working Groups, each of which has an independent Chair. Registration for participation in any of the Working Groups is now closed, but there are still a number of ways for you to get involved. For example, you may wish to consider:
- Becoming a member of our Stakeholder Advisory Group;
- Engaging with us on a specific topic by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org; and/or
- Participating in the public consultation later on in the Process.
Even if you do not participate in any of the above you will still be able to have a say in what we do through various channels, including events and comment forms throughout the Process.
