SBP is a not-for-profit, multi-stakeholder, voluntary certification scheme dedicated to assuring the sustainable sourcing of biomass, such as wood pellets, chips, biochar, biocarbon, and other processed wood-based products, used across energy, industry, and beyond.

As part of the renewable resource mix, sustainably sourced biomass plays a vital role in global decarbonisation efforts. SBP’s purpose is to expand the contribution of good biomass to the bioeconomy through a credible and robust certification scheme that assures responsible practice throughout the biomass supply chain.

Recruitment process

We are seeking expressions of interest from individuals who would like to contribute to our purpose by serving on the Board or one of our Committees. Our aim is to create a pool of suitable candidates for future vacancies as they arise.

If you are interested in working with us, please submit your full CV/resumé and a motivation letter to workwithus@sbp-cert.org, clearly indicating the governing or advisory body position you wish to be considered for. Please note that you may apply for only one position. SBP will contact you with an initial response.

The recruitment process typically involves two stages:

  • An interview with a selection panel; and
  • A meeting with the Chair of the Board/relevant Committee Chairs, and the Chief Executive Officer.

Appointments are approved by the relevant Committee and endorsed by the Board.
