Updated SBP training videos
This series of videos has been designed to guide you through the SBP certification scheme in a clear, structured, and user friendly way, whether you are completely new to SBP or looking to refresh and deepen your understanding.
For this updated release, we have made several important improvements to both the content and the way the materials are delivered.
What’s new in this update
- Synthetic AI voice narration: For the first time, we have used a synthetic AI voice created from the real voice of Roman Polyachenko, SBP Assurance Manager. This approach helps ensure consistent, high quality narration across all modules and will allow us to streamline future updates as the SBP scheme and assurance system continue to evolve.
- Broader improvements beyond Standards v2.1: Whilst this update includes coverage of SBP Standards v2.1, the improvements go beyond the standards themselves. We have made significant enhancements to the way materials are amended and updated compared to the initial recordings published in 2023, improving clarity, consistency, and usability across the entire training suite.
- Improved navigation with timestamps: To make it easier to work with longer videos, timestamps have been added to each module. This allows viewers to navigate directly to specific topics and use the videos more effectively as an ongoing reference.
Training structure
The training comprises nine modules (Module 0 to Module 8), each focusing on a specific aspect of the SBP certification scheme. Together, they form a comprehensive learning journey that you can complete at your own pace.
How the modules are structured
- Module 0 Course overview: This introductory module explains the purpose of the training, the overall structure of the modules, and how best to use the videos. It sets the scene for what follows and helps you get the most value from the course.
- Module 1 Introduction to the SBP certification scheme: This module provides a high level introduction to the SBP scheme, including its objectives, scope, and key principles. It is an essential foundation for understanding the standards that follow.
- Modules 2 to 7 SBP Standards 1 to 6: Each of these six modules focuses on one SBP Standard, explaining its intent, core requirements, and how it is applied in practice. These modules are designed to build your knowledge step by step and can be revisited individually as a reference.
- Module 8 EU RED: The final module explores the EU Renewable Energy Directive (EU RED) requirements relevant to SBP certification, bringing together key considerations for organisations operating within or supplying into EU markets.
We recommend watching the modules in sequence, starting with Module 0, especially if you are new to SBP. However, the modules are also suitable for standalone viewing if you are looking for guidance on a specific standard or topic.
We hope you find this updated training informative, practical, and easy to follow, and that it supports you in applying the SBP certification scheme with confidence.
