Instruction Document 1B: SBP requirements for non-woody agricultural feedstock

Our strategy for the three-year period to the end of 2025 recognises the potential of new feedstocks to optimise the use of natural resources, serving as substitutes for fossil fuels and other carbon-intensive materials in energy production and beyond. Responding to interest shown by our Certificate Holders, we are expanding our certification scope to include non-woody agricultural biomass, reinforcing our role as a one-stop shop for sustainability proof points for all stakeholders.

We are now seeking stakeholder feedback on the consultation draft Instruction Document 1B (ID1B). Your insights are essential in ensuring the document is clear, practical, and effective in supporting sustainable biomass supply chains.

Before providing feedback, please read the following documents:

  • Explanatory note
  • Terms of Reference for the extension of scope of SBP certification
  • Instruction Document 1B: SBP requirements for non-woody agricultural feedstock

Please use the Feedback Platform when providing your comments. The consultation period closes on Friday, 2 May.
